Although places around the world like Hawai'i, Australia and California are known for world-class surfing, most would never think that Long Beach, New York would be home to the largest purse in the history of surfing. The event will take place in September and while some New Yorkers won't know what hit them, the surfing community will be beyond excited to have some of the best surfers in the world in their backyard.
