Quiksilver announced today, along with the Association of Surfing Professionals, that the Quiksilver Pro New York will take place on Long Beach in Long Island from September 4-15. The event will be the 6th stop on the 2011 World Tour, the first ever stop on the East Coast of the US, and will offer a $1 million dollar prize purse- an amount unprecedented in professional surfing.
